My name is Michelle Tyler, an EA out of Alexandria Va and a CWA member of Local 2222. My nephew D’Angelo Niler is also a fellow CWA member of Local 2336, as a FIOS Technician out of the Barry Rd Garage in DC.On Mon Feb 12th, 2024 at approximately 9 a.m. in Welcome Md. he and his his 4 year old son Elijah, Elijah’s Mom and grandparents were affected by a devastating house fire, which at the time D’Angelo had already left the home with Elijah to drop him off at school and then headed to report for work in DC.Fortunately, D’Angelo wasn’t there with Elijah for him to witness this unforgettable, massive scene of a fire and thankfully all other family members escaped the fire uninjured, before the home collapsed and succumbed to the flames.Everyone suffered the loss of all belongings, four automobiles, all of the things that are so necessary, and very important to Elijah such as; books, clothes, toys and the family’s beautiful rancher style home. All of which were completely burned to the ground, leaving nothing salvageable or recognized.In conclusion, my hope is there is some assistance available to our fellow brother through our union to support the family through this very crucial time.
