Barack Obama won the Presidential election yesterday, and with his victory comes the dawning of a new chapter in American history. We in organized labor can be nothing but elated and so, so hopeful.....and very, very proud!!! Congratulations and tremendous gratitude to everyone who worked so hard and for so long to make this moment possible!!!

Raise & Retro Pay

The Verizon Core and VCSI contracts have been ratified. You can expect to see the raise & retro pay in your October 31st paycheck. ***ALSO.........The Verizon-GNI contract was rejected by our members, and rightly so!!! The Union and company bargaining reps met yesterday, October 6 for the first time, to try and work out a more beneficial agreement. Please keep our GNI sisters and brothers in your thoughts as this difficult process continues, and watch for updates here.****

We have an agreement in principle with Verizon;the Local Officers have met and reviewed the MOU's and have posted them for your review. Meeting places are being secured in order to review the Tentative Agreements with the membership.
Please check your units bargaining updates for the specifics.
