Join us at the Hall for a new look! With spring fast approaching and warmer weather on the horizon, it’s time for a little spring cleaning. We will be patching the holes and painting the walls in the Hall and a few of the offices. We would appreciate some help from the membership, any and all that would like to help, on April 1st and 2nd starting at 9AM.

New Secretary Treasurer

Last Tuesday evening, a due notice meeting was held in Culpeper, VA to accept nominations for a new Secretary Treasurer for CWA Local 2222. There was only one candidate nominated, therefore no election needs to run, and Jeff Schmidt is our new Secretary Treasurer of the Local. His term will run until the end of this year when the general election takes place.

Tonight's Meeting in Culpeper

There has been several requests for clarification in regards to the Membership Meeting and the Nomination Meetings tonight in Culpeper. The Membership Meeting will be held at its regular time of 5:30PM, followed by a short break, then followed by the Nomination Meeting which will start at 7PM. We hope this clears up any confusion.

The company continues to make greedy and retrogressive demands despite their huge profits. The Union will not accept these demands and the discussions have become more contentious over the last several days.

They are still insisting on no pensions for new hires, and they rejected our benefits proposal. They want you to pay an outrageous amount of your medical costs.

Rally for AT&TMobility Contract

Join us to show AT&T we mean BUSINESS and are ready to STRIKE!!! Local 2222 and 2336 will hold a joint rally for AT&T Mobility that will be held on Saturday, February 12th at 11am. We will meet in front of Clarendon AT&T Mobility Store location at 3000 Wilson Blvd #100, Arlington, VA 22201 (Orange Line Metro) and then move to the Chinatown Store in D.C.

AT&T Mobility Strike Vote Results

The strike vote results are in and over 93% of AT&T Mobility workers voted yes. That means, if necessary, we will go on strike to get what we deserve at AT&T. AT&T is a multi-billion dollar corporation that is making record profits because of our hard work taking care of the customers, selling the phones, and maintaining the network. We deserve our fair share.

We are asking all other members to show support by visiting your nearest AT&T Corporate store the next 2 Thursday's. We cannot do this at the "Authorized Retailer" stores. When visiting the store, a Retail Sales Consultant or Sales Support Rep should greet you.

What is the TPP?
